The River City Venture Clinic provides free legal support to start-ups, entrepreneurs, and change-makers in the Edmonton area of Treaty 6. The Clinic also provides law students with the opportunity to gain practical legal skills.

We are a group of people who want to see Edmonton’s startup space thrive. Startups want to move fast and legal help can be expensive. We get it. However, putting off the legal considerations can lead to problems down the road.
We are staffed by volunteer law students and lawyers, so we can provide legal information for free. We are here to provide free legal information for your routine legal issues.

How it all works.
First, you contact us. Describe your venture and legal problem. We will then schedule our first consultation with you to understand you and your questions better!
Next, we work with our lawyers to figure out if we can help. We will let you know right away when we decide. Then, our law students get to work doing the research to answer your questions. Their work is then reviewed by our advising lawyers.
Finally, our team will present the final work to you!
